What is the Key Institute ?

The Key Institute has been organising specialist language and equestrian courses to Ireland for teenagers for 20 years.The Key Institute is approved by the Irish Government Department of Education.

Nestled between Knocknarea mountain and Union forest, 2 miles from Sligo city (pop.25,000), on the Atlantic coast of Ireland sits Carrowmore, site of one of the oldest collections of Megalithic tombs and burial chambers, some dating to 3500 B.C. This area is said to be the first site settled by man in Ireland. This beautiful corner of Ireland is not only home to prehistoric tombs but also to Ireland’s foremost Equestrian and English language centre.

We also offer accomodation in the Key Institute in Carrowmore.We can accomodate 15 students.The accomodation is fully supervised and all the bedrooms are ensuite.We recommend this accomodation for young students,or those who prefer to stay with a group of students.
