Teenagers have a choice of accommodation. We offer accommodation at the equestrian centre or in a host family.
Equestrian Centre Accommodation 9/6-31/8
At the equestrian centre we have accommodation for 24 students. Students are under the guidance of 2 group leaders who also live at the equestrian centre.
The accommodation is in multi bedded rooms with ensuite bathroom/shower facilities. Meals are taken as a group in our dining room.
Please remember that you will be sharing your room with other teenagers from all over the world, in order to improve your language skills!
Equestrian centre accommodation is suitable for teenagers who prefer to be in a group, also suitable for young students, teenagers who are a little shy, and not confident in their language skills, and of course for those teenagers who want to be near the horses and the Irish riding kids at all times!”
Host Family Accommodation
Our host families are all well known to us personally and have been hosting teenagers for years. All the host families are specially chosen by the Key Institute for their friendliness and the comfort of their home, thereby guaranteeing an enjoyable experience for all. In each host family there are 2 or 3 teenagers, of different mother tongues. There are never 2 teenagers with the same language in a host family. The host families are in Sligo town, Strandhill village and in the area near the Key Institute.
All the transport family/Key institute/Activities is in our Key Institute bus. The details of the host family are sent by Email to you 4 weeks prior to departure. Living in a family you will quickly get to know the inhabitants of a country well known for their friendliness. Host family accommodation is suitable for confident teenagers, also suitable for teenagers with a good level of English.
